Brittany Chavis

Attorney at Law

Brittany is a Lake Charles, LA native, where she graduated from LaGrange Senior High School in 2006. She then obtained her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts in 2009 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA.

Brittany continued her education in Baton Rouge, LA, where she studied at Southern University Law Center. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2012 and became a licensed attorney in the state of Louisiana in October of 2012.

With a heart for her community, Brittany moved back to her hometown where she became a law clerk at the Fourteenth Judicial District Court from 2012-2014.


After her clerkship, Brittany became an Assistant District Attorney for Calcasieu Parish in March 2014. During her five-year tenure, Brittany worked in the following divisions: misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony, prosecuting major cases such as felony thefts, drug cases, burglaries, and homicides.

It is Brittany’s desire to be a helping hand to her community, and her life motto is to enable others to reach their full potential even if it means being their voice. Since childhood, she has been a devoted member of United Christian Fellowship Church. Her heart beats for youth, which she attributes to her parents, who are both active in the local community. As a true family woman, her goal is to treat her clients as if they were own family.

Brittany is proudly married to Bryant Chavis Sr., a fellow Lake Charles native. They are the proud parents of Bryant Jr.

Brittany is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, leaders in being of service to all mankind. In her local chapter, she is dedicated to community service projects and promoting education to youth.

Leah is a Lake Charles native. She graduated from Alfred M. Barbe High School in 2006 and later earned her Associate's degree from Northwestern State University with honors. With over 20 years of experience in the legal field, Leah is deeply passionate about assisting others through her work in law. Recognizing the challenges our clients face, she is committed to providing support and encouragement during difficult times.


Leah resides in Lake Charles with her husband Ross, and their four children. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, hiking, singing, dancing, and exploring new adventures.

Also a Lake Charles native and a 2006 graduate of Alfred M. Barbe High School, Nicole obtained her Associate of Accounting degree from Sowela Technical Community College.


Nicole is dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for our clients while ensuring the legal process is managed with sensitivity and care. She is passionate about supporting those in need and believes that Chavis Law provides an ideal environment to further her commitment to helping others.


Nicole resides in Lake Charles with her three children: Ethan, Gatlin, and Sophia. She recently became a grandmother and is absolutely smitten with her granddaughter, Brynleigh Faith. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, karaoke, and going to concerts.
